This cat was originally purchased by my mom's crazy-cat-lady employee, who at one time pushed her (five) cats around her neighborhood in a stroller. For "exercise." Now she has a bigger house and a cat room. But apparently this robotic cat freaked out one of her real cats, so he/she IS MINE.
Now, when you're watching this video, keep in mind that's not me meowing. It's the cat. I'm chuckling, and there is some background noise, but the meowing is all him/her. He/she also purrs. I'm also taking suggestions for names/proposed genders, since this cat is awesome and I'm keeping him/her.
Edit: Apparently when you pet him/her, this prompts the robot cat to move. But I experimented with this and it's more like a hard stroke on the back. That sounds/feels gross, so I'll stick to letting him/her move on his/her own.

Finally, a cat you're not allergic to! I have no name suggestions, but I think it should be a boy.
ReplyDeleteHello, yes. I would like a robotic kitty with which to torment my real kitties. It would be hilarious!
ReplyDeletethat last 'meow' is so inquisitive!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Jennifer...I was thinking George or Freddie...something English and simple...like Grey Poupon...or at least that's how I've connected them all in my head
ReplyDeletehe's tormenting my dog, Anabela! at first Butters was curious, now he's scared of the cat...and apparently the cat moves when you pet him, which freaks him out the most
hahah I know, that meow kills me...though whoever they paid to record those noises sucks at meowing...I could do a much better job
Hahahahaha. That is totally absurd & awesome.
ReplyDeleteGeorge! His name should be George! Or Georgie!
lol I think I ended up calling him Harry or something...or George, I don't remember...but my dog tried to sniff his butt to see if he was real or not, so I tried throwing him up and down to demonstrate to him that he wasn't real, and also exposing his battery parts, but Butters wasn't getting it and just ran away...he's not a big fan of Harry/George
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, awesome--I saw one of these the other day at Walmart or someplace. Scary!
ReplyDeletereeeeeally??? I need to go and buy a whole clan of them...and then I can be a REAL cat lady! the allergic kind!
