I was so jived when I finally found Ace & Jig's mini dress in their navy stripe fabric, since I could only find it elsewhere in the multistripe fabric. I was worried that the dress was labeled a "mini," but it's a decent length (which is good, b/c I've got those genetic thunder thighs, you know). Anywho, I wore it this weekend and luuuurve it. The fabric is so soft and comfortable, and check out the geometric pattern interspersed in the fabric design. I'm so glad I could finally purchase an item from Cary and Jenna's line; definitely my favorite buy in awhile.
Yay, fall! ...and horribly staged photos.

ooooh I love this dress so much! It looks so comfy, lucky you!
ReplyDeleteoh em eff gee megan stop being so stinkin cute. i love that photo of you.
ReplyDeleteI could sleep in that shiz, Jess, it's so freakin comfy
ReplyDeletehahah, oooh, laura, you make me laugh and smile
lately I've been sleeping in a button-up dress and my boyfriend keeps saying "why are you wearing clothes to bed?" But some things are just THAT comfy!
ReplyDeletethe fabric looks so nice up close! and what a sassy last shot. caper-rific.
ReplyDeleteoh want want want. few things are better than a comfy dress. or ?hopping? through a field in a comfy dress, haha.
ReplyDeletealso - i love that the series of pictures imply that you were just casually standing around in your tights while you were taking the pictures of the dress on the hanger, before putting it back on to take the jumping shot, haha.
hahah, speaking of comfy shirts, Jess, I need some flannel...mmm, I can already imagine how wonderful that would be in this weather, snuggled in my bed w/my quilts...
ReplyDeleteit is SUPER nice, Joyce...at first I was worried it would be itchy and burlap-esque, given the photos I had seen online...but not so
oh ballz, I didn't think abt that, Mallory...I had taken the last earlier this morning and the first two this afternoon after a work meeting I had, so I was wearing another dress at the time...I SWEAR!
ahahaha. sure megan. SURE.
ReplyDeleteokay, you got me, I was TOTALLY lying
ReplyDeleteThe jumping picture is great! You're super cute!
ReplyDeletePlus, thanks for turning me on the Ace & Jig... never heard of them before, and as a textiles student, I'm always on the hunt for cool textiles-centric fashion lines for inspiration. Yay!
that dress is adorbz. so cozy.
ReplyDeleteI've been eyeing this dress too. SO CUTE ON YOU!
ReplyDeleteI just love this picture.
Too bad the customer service stank. That's the worse.
ooh, Courtney, I didn't know you were a textiles student! that's so cool! you should post more of your inspiration on your blog, b/c I'd love to find more print-driven brands
ReplyDeleteand yeah, Kate, they were pretty useless...saying they'd look my package up for me--after not contacting me to let me know it shipped, etc.--and then never doing so...I would only ever go back b/c they had a sweet discount (which seems to be a regular thing there), but otherwise, they were sub-par...wah waaaah
LOVE that fabric! and yes, more jumping shots, haha!
ReplyDeleteI should show you the shots where I ate it instead...I have far more of those
ReplyDeleteHello! Do you have any words on the sizing for this dress (true to size or not)? I have tracked it down and am thinking I might get it but can't find size charts anywhere!
ReplyDeleteuh, I know, Karen! that was such a pain for me...I think it's pretty tts...I got the small and I'm a 5/6...but the only issue for me is that my arms are kind of fatty at the moment so the fabric on the arms are tight...but otherwise it's all good! hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteThanks, dude! I ordered and am crossing my fingers about those little arms! I found it here, by the way, in case you have not yet come across this pretty shop: http://www.leloup-garou.com/
ReplyDeletesweeeeeeet! and I have indeed seen that shop, and they do indeed have some pretty items stocked! can't wait to see what else they select in the future......
ReplyDeletegood luck w/the dress, dude!
