Eleanor Rudge for Chiswick House

I lovelovelove the quirky illustrations and humorously random factoids featured on Eleanor Rudge's set of placemats, which she designed and illustrated for Chiswick House. I want so badly to own the set, and also to devote a trip to exploring historic houses in England (with the number of period pieces, I'm sure that's a shared feeling). Or should I say, I'd really like to go there on holiday, harharhar.
Btw, I very much enjoyed the Duchess, though I later quit reading the biography halfway through. Too many politicians and not enough sex, I suppose.

  3. oh Megan this is just too crazy, Eleanor is my old housemate! Remember before when you swooned over my pal Alex http://commasandclauses.blogspot.com/2010/05/hunk-of-meat-1.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+CommasAndClauses+%28Commas+and+Clauses%29

We all went to art school in Falmouth and we have some very talented friends and love that you appreciate them too! Where did you see Eleanor's work, I must let her know, she'll be thrilled

  4. Hazel! I totally posted my response to your comment on another post, and was tottttally confused as to where your comment went...I am such an idiot...anyway, what I had written originally: ahhhh! I hope you don't think I'm stalking your friends! hahah, that's really quite the coincidence, though...and of course I remember the post abt Alex, where I made myself look like a giant boob...I think I found Eleanor's Flickr through someone else's Flickr, or perhaps another illustrator's blog? I'll have to do some digging, since I'm curious to know now whether some of the other English illustrators I love are friends of yours as well, haha...and please do send me the link! I would love to see your work! and those cat prints are now available in that chick's Etsy shop here...I hope you can get the cat triptych that I can't afford! you British ppl and your British pound...I say that b/c she's from London...
